Urban traffic flow guidance system(UTFGS) is one of the core researches of ITS(Intelligent transportation system). With the development of Vehicle Positioning, integrated technology for GPS/DR integrated navigation combines virtues of both GPS(Global Positioning System) and DR(Dead Reckoning), and makes UTFGS become the emphasis of Vehicle positioning research. This paper is supported by Major Project of China's 10th Five-Year National Key Technologies R & D Program. In this paper, a self-adaptive joint Kalman Filter based on Kalman filtering is established. The computer simulation results using Matlab prove that the method effectively realize the data fusion of the Integrated Navigation System and thus improves the precision, and reliability of GPS/DR. At last, this paper focuses on software realization of serial port communication in the integrated technology for GPS/DR with respect to software integration.
