Karkheh earth dam is located in the south-western part of Iran. The nominal capacity of the reservoir is eight billion cubic meters with three electrical generators at pick hours. To control the behavior the dam layers, cell pressure and inclinometers were used. The results obtained through applying these instruments at a depth of 140m were disturbed during development period due to an increase in pressure incurred by embankment layers and a squeezing of pipes. Based on 44'000 recorded data, interaction graphs of the vertical settlement in terms of height are drawn. Then engineering mathematics and SSM were applied on the data registered and thus elasticity module was obtained for each layer. Lines slope indicates the variable potential of embankment as well as consolidation interaction behavior. Using the mentioned graph, one may draw stress- strain curve of the vertical axis. Joining these broken lines at the bottom part of the graph with the stress-strain curve, an enclosed curve named Turk elliptical criterion 2008. This criterion may predict the final deflection of dam at any time and correct the mistake records.
