In order to improve traffic safety and reduce the rate of traffic accidents on the flat curve of two-lane highway, this paper studied the operating speed of vehicle in straight line and little radius. Through the speed experiment, we collected the speed that vehicle traveled on a flat curve, and then ensured the critical radius of the two-lane highway. Finally, the paper established the modeling of the element of flat curve and speed, the element of flat curve and side friction factor coefficient. The model can be applied in safety evaluate of two-lane secondary highway in our country. The improvement is considerable.
